- Description: Provides current or former CalWORKs cash aid recipients financial support for child care expenses. Three stages of child care funding assistance are available based on length of time in the program and work stability.

- Eligibility: A family could be eligible for child care benefits if: they live in Butte County; they receive CalWORKs assistance; The parents are in Cal-Learn (Parenting teens), an approved Welfare-to-WOrk activity, and employment; they have transition off assistance but need child care to retain employment; they are ineligible for, but are declining, a cash aid payment and needing child care. Child care providers must also meet the following conditions/requirements in order to receive payment for their services: Participants will also be asked to verify employment, child care costs, and hours and dates of employment or education/training activity. Please note: there are age limits for children to receive child care.
